Chrysler Tachometer question

Would any one know if a Chrysler tack made in 1983 is a 20 pole? I'm looking at one for sale but the seller only has a tag on it with production date 11/83

Pretty sure it's 12 pole. I think forces had 20 poles. Look at it before you buy it. Look under the flywheel and count the poles.

I know my motor is a 20 pole I'm looking at a tach and there is no markings except the pro- date

Since the 83 Chryslers were Prestolite non-distributor ignition, there is an excellent chance that the tach--if it was made for your engine--is a 20 pole tach

Thank you Frank I need to get a tach on this motor to check WOT I have other issues with the lower cylinder miss/weak spark on another thread....Thanks again for the feedback!;)
