I have a chrysler outboard Modle #557-HD serial#2823 can anyone trll me what year it is came on a 1972 lund boat

I find the Chrysler model numbers confusing.
However the HD code appears in 1970 meaning USA production.My guess is the motor matches the boat at 72. 55= hp.7= long shaft electric start.HD= 72/73 production code.
