"In a 1,245-word missive entitled "Goodbye Attention *****" posted on the liberal DailyKos blog, Sheehan said her campaign to end the war in Iraq had strained her relationship with her children, cost her a marriage and left her nearly penniless."........

I obviously have more respect and honor for her son's sacrifice for his countrymen than she does. He died fighting evil people so we someday can live more peaceably in our homeland.
I hope it doesn't take another terrorist attack in the USA or threats from another evil dictator for that woman to wake up and give her son the respect he deserves.
He joined the military. He assumed a job with the responsibility to protect America and risk his own life doing it. He did his job. It is very sad when people die in battles. but he did it for all of us.
I pray God touches Cindy's heart and let's her see her son as the brave and honorable man he was.

I think she is just practicing what she preaches. Run Away. Surrender. Then cry to the world how you have been abused.

The sad part about this is several of us predicted that she would end up exactly the way she did. Used by those who stood to benefit from her little circus, then thrown on the pile of used up tools, broken, pennyless, and shamed. Perhaps those who took advantage of her will see their way clear to now get her the help she needs.

Just remember Rolmops, she hardly knew her son, and very rarely does she ever speak in specifics about him short of when he was a child.

He stand by status was devisiveness. She brought nothing to the table any other mother couldn't. It was a liberal media hack job, and now she has become disposable. Typical..
She truelly is a pathological tragedy. I will not be suprised if she tries to off herself.
She aint right in the head.

You "Gentlemen" disgust me! Beating up on a mother that gave her son for your insane war. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Let's see a show of hands. How many of YOU lost a son (or daughter) to war? Maybe someday you'll see the light and join the 3/4 of this country that see this war and occupation as a blunder of Biblical proportion. Nah, if you had any sense at all, you already would have. You're obviously entrenched in your delusions and there is no hope for you. :( Please continue making fools of yourselves. You're doing a Great job!

Her son gave his life for this county, for what he believed in. She, on the other hand had disgraced his sacrifice. When you put the koolaid away willy, maybe you will see the truth (there's that awful word you hate).

3/4 of the country willy? Where's you get that number from? I don't expect a response as there is no truth to it, unless you got from rosie.

She was a pawn for YOUR party and now that they have the congress and she has challenged YOUR party on their EMPTY promises to stop the war in Iraq, they desert her. And you call conservatives bad folks. Look at your party and yourself.

Ah, another lib tactic willy, go from "..Maybe someday you'll see the light and join the 3/4 of this country that see this war and occupation as a blunder of Biblical proportion...."
to it's
"approve of the latest escalation"
Nice spin, but not good enough. Try to keep your "facts" straight willy.

You're absolutely right, Plainsman. (Waaaay right ;)) I'm afraid I must admit to an error. It was EIGHTEEN percent. Seventeen percent thought troop levels should stay the same. Thirty percent thought troop levels should decrease. Twenty-nine percent thought we should get out now. source

No matter how you look at the numbers, You're outnumbered. But then, you were back in 2000 too and look at what happened. :(

Still looking for hands.

You still have avoided that your original post was not true, but I guess you won't admit that.

And was Dan Rather involved in your CBS poll? ;) Find a reputable recent poll, like Rasmussen, not your biased MSM.

Re: Cindy Sheehan Quits

Hey, this whole thing started with a Faux News propaganda piece. I declare Equal Time. ;)

The numbers go up and the numbers go down. You can read the numbers one way, I can read the numbers another way. I specifically recall a 28% approval rating of the current administration. To me, the Iraq war and occupation are the key elements to that number. The latest election results seem to confirm it. 28% is pretty darn close to one quarter. Close enough for me. That means that 3/4 do not approve. But we're spiraling off topic.

Like her or not, Cindy Sheehan has done something you and I haven't and probably won't. She got off her duff and did something about the way she feels about it. We can peck at our keyboards like so many hens in the barnyard, but we pale in comparison to somebody that has the guts to do what she has done and has made the sacrifices she has made. Her son fought and died for that. Maybe he'd be proud of her, maybe he'd be ashamed of her. One thing is clear as the sun in the sky. WE don't have the right to make that determination for him posthumasly.

Re: Cindy Sheehan Quits

Yes, she got off her "duff" with the help of the likes of Jane Fonda, Martin Sheen, Castor and Chavez and the rest of the leftwing. You don't hear of the stories of the father who gave President Bush a pen that he wrote his son letters with, the son who died in Iraq and asked the President to use it when he vetoed the supplemental budget with the time table. That won't make your MSM news, but a wack job like Cindy does. Take the blinders off and look at the whole picture, not just what is force feed you. ;)

Re: Cindy Sheehan Quits

Bush's approval rating is about 33%. Congress's approval rating is about 28%. Google it Willy! How could congress's approval rating be lower than the Presidents with such visionary's as Lil Nancy, and Dingy Harry? I guess the Amercian people have spoken. FYI, congress's approval rating has fallen since the election that put the dem's in power.

Willy, this isn't Moveon.org. People can think here! I won't worry about making a fool of myself as long as you keep posting in this thread. BTW, how much cash are you sending Cindy to help pay for her therapy? I love how she says it is everyone else's fault her marriage fell apart. Didn't her kids need a relationship with her during her "celebrity" period? I guess she can now use them for more public sympathy going forward. She becomes more pathetic with each passing day.

I wouldn’t start writing Cindy’s obituary just yet .

<<On Tuesday, peace activist Cindy Sheehan appeared on The Ed Schultz Show to talk about her recent declaration that she is leaving the anti-war movement.>>

<< She explains that she has kept pushing herself because "I can't say no, especially when people are dying" but that the recent failure of the Democrats to vote against the war caused her to conclude, "I think I've gone as far as I can in this movement.">>

<< "We're gonna see what other direction we can come at it, because obviously the direction that we're going has stopped being effective. ... We're gonna close up the factory, we're gonna retool, and we're gonna see how we can come at this problem from a different angle.">>

<< Sheehen's strongest criticism is directed at the Democratic Party. She says, "It's all about the presidential elections, it's all about politics. And the Democrats have to stop being careful and stop playing politics with human flesh and blood and they're going to have to be courageous. ... If we're gonna get a Democrat in the White House that acts like a Republican, what's the difference?">>

Sounds to me that she is just bummed because Congress didn’t stop the war funding.
