Heard on the news today that all the stores will be closing this coming Sunday, March 8, which is earlier than previously predicted.

Now's the time to redeem gift cards if you have them!

Dunno if there will actually be any real deals available. I'm going to my local store to check things out tomorrow.

I've stopped in the local CC the last few weeks I have been in town...No deals as of my last visit..EVERYTHING was 60% off.
Off a highly inflated retail price though..Even with their reductions, they were priced higher than Best Buy or other stores..

It's sad, the store just had a Grand Opening-And Closing in the same month.
Employees in the store wouldnt help you with any questions, they couldnt care less..But then again they were looking at unemployment in a few weeks, after just getting hired..

I was just in the local Circuit City this past weekend to see what was goin on. Nothing... there was nothing left, place looked like it survived a riot. All that remained were a few spanish language DVDs and the wire they used to display the TVs and such. Kind eeire.

I checked a couple times and once I was looking for a network card and stopped there and figured I could get a deal. The 40% off was the same price you could anywhere. I left and went to Officemax and got a deal on a better card..

Theres a sucker borne minute..

circuit city really stopped to exist months ago. a separate liquidating company came in with a lot of there own junk, with all sales final. some people got home with there 50" TVs only to find out the glass was shattered and no return or refund. they were not allowed to open the boxes first either. these people are criminals and should not be allowed to liquidate any store again. if you are going to buy anything demand to see it work and out of the box before you pay for it. if they say no, walk away it is a scam.

Ha! They went flatline on the EEG long before even that, at least judging by their corporate.

Brinks returned their keys to them today, and will do one final pickup of money on Monday.

I was in the local store a week ago, and most everything there was not stuff you'd ever need. But there were a lot of TVs there, but as mentioned the prices were not good.
As my wife said when it first started, "they marked everything up 50% to mark it down 20%."

Tyme2fish probably had a hand in CC going belly up. I've noticed that whenever I refuse to do business with a business ,that sooner or later that company will fail.

I've had my hand in the failure of CC, Service Merchandise, a few banks, and several others that I can't even remember.

When service is poor or non existent, poor quality of the merchandise, bad prices, etc it doesn't take me long to hit their exit door and never darken their entrance again.:mad:

Some people and companies just never learn the main premise of business...Make Tyme2fish a satisfied customer or your company will fail!!

yea, most of the stuff i saw in my CC was only about 30 % off. It was hardly a going out of business sale. the stuff did seem to be lower quality too.

I went by my local store yesterday and there were signs in the windows saying "fixtures only" for sale. When I was at that store a couple weeks ago, it was super busy even though prices weren't very good.

Yesterday it was like a ghost town. I didn't bother going inside.
