Grind down the backside Ie not the gelcoat side.Clean with acetone.Tape front to back on gelside.Lay cloth on inside then resin let cure Im going to assume the repair is in the floor Mount area So 1 cloth and then cloth to atach the floor should do so then pull tape and away you go.

Don't panic and do not feel bad.....it happens quite often and it just adds an additional step to your repair.

You were going to need fiberglass and resin to seal up your new decking..... we just have to add gel coat repair into the formula.

Most of us "old timer's" here.... have seen that type of self inflicted penetration of the hull before.

Hey justinsXHT,
Don't feel bad about the hole. I did it myself and several others here have too.
The video was great and told you what you needed to know.
Good luck and have fun.

I did the same thing with an air tool. Its not as bad as it seems. Easy to fix.

I did a couple through my hull with an angle grinder. My dad flipped out about it but I fixed it using similar steps and it's survived a couple small craft advisories :D

But yeah, I ground it out a bit on the inside, put a piece of packaging tape on the outside, acetone, then wet out a couple or 3 pieces of glass (each layer being a little bigger than the other).
