I'm trying to find a source for a clampscrew. (In case that is not the correct term, it is the screw you tighten to clamp the motor to the transom). The handle and back half of one of the 2 clampscrews is broken off on my motor. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Maxrules. They wrote back to say that was no longer available. I assumed I'd have to get lucky and hit someone with a junkyard that would be able to salvage one.

Try your local boat yard. Those clamps were used on a lot of motors from the early 1950s into the 1970s. The 3, 4, 5.5, 6, 7.5 hp models all used similar clamps and I belive used the same screw & handle assembly (at least from a functional standpoint). You'll likely find a whole clamp assembly for cheap if you poke around a bit. Drill & tap the clamp screw for a 1/4-20 bolt to hold the transom cup in place rather than trying to use the original style clips...<br />- Scott
