Reason #57 why an I/O is better than an OB...

Can't cook on an OB :D

You know your an i-boats junkie when someone posts a response to another thread on this thread and you know exactly what they are talking about.

Pitas and tortillas make handy holders for all kinds of goodies, hot or cold. I also like to make fruit salad, pasta salad, cole slaw, tater salad etc. stuff that's good cold. If I bring the bbq, it's usually burgers, smokies, kebabs or ribs.

"Warm beer and bread, they said could raise the dead."

Preparation is the key. In fact, an article in Boating magazine a couple months back talked about using your engine manifold to cook food in aluminum foil while you spend the day boating. Sounds good. I've not tried it.

When I go offroading, I use this on my fj40's manifold. By lunch time those following me are drooling. Does a boats manifold get hot enough?

Don't think so, but if you run dual batteries and inverter could power a small grill (I have one in my work truck), or even a small microwave if the inverter is big enough! Imagine the jealous looks when people get the smell of fresh microwave popcorn!

Cooking on a manifold works great till the can blows up! I had stew all over the engine compartment of a D6. It was funny but the smell took a few days to go away.:D
