I have the classic fifty 45hp 87 or 88 motor. I got it for free it needed water pump so i got that replaced, the motor runs but when i start going full throttle it acts like its not getting gas so it slows down then speeds up. But if im going a slower speed it doesn't do it. And does anyone no where i should adjust my throttle cable at in the motor. :)

nice freebie but if it sat for awhile you should clean the carburetors real good and check your fuel filter but your problem may lay at your fuel pump

just run through the fuel system and you will likely find your problem good luck

Fuel pump is on the right hand side looking at the front of the motor. It's under the cowling. It should be square shaped on your engine. The parts aren't very expensive. The thing you have to check also is all of the fuel lines as the alcohol used in today's fuel will eat up most fuel lines. That could possibly cause a problem later on.
