Clean Fuel Tank

I have a 1947 6hp Merc that 90 percent restored it has a fuel tank built in the outboard but I can remove it my ? is I want to clean the tank I can see alot of corrision can anyone give me some suggestions please,thx

Nothing is "built in". Take it off and clean it out..probably 4-6 bolts
