I have a 1996 Evinrude 48hp motor and I'm having trouble with speed when the throttle is wide open. Im trying to clean out the carburetors before going to the trouble of re-building them . I ran sea foam in the tank and I replaced the fuel line . I also sprayed some carb cleaner while the motor was running. When I sprayed cleaner in the top carburetor it would die instantly. If I sprayed it in the bottom carburetor it would bog down for a second and then come back to life.. does that indicate a possible problem in my top carburetor or is that just a coincidence?
