I had a can of west system epoxy spill in my truck. It leaked on to a jacket and life jacket. Does anyone know of a way to get the epoy out of the clothing. I am not sure if it was the resin or hardener.

Thanks

Figure out which it was. Hardner will come out with soap and water. For resin you'll need something like alcohol.
West system
I know a fellow who spilt a jug of polyester resin in the back of his work van. Always stunk after that. Just be glad it was epoxy. :)

Vinegar is supposed to work also. Never tried it but heard many have and it works.

If it was resin, then wash with some hardener and you'll never have to starch the jacket again!! :D :D :D

Thank you Paul, you had the winning answer,
I did check which can it was and it was hardener. Washed it out with soap and water, threw them both in the washer machine and they are both good as new. (or at least as good as they where before the spill).

The jecket I could have lived with it was mine, but the life jacket was my 10 year old's favorite.

Note to self... When you come back from working on the boat remove epoxy supplies from truck, or do not pile alot more junk in the truck!!!!!
