Cleaning Galvanized trailer fade???

Want to remove some of the decals on my galvanized trailer and upon picking back at the corner of the decal it appears as if the galv is darker than the surrounding area. Is there any way to "blend" this in so it is not so noticeable?

Not really. Now that it's exposed to the air it to will fade as well

Any idea on how long it will take to fade? I was hoping to replace the factory decals with custom but if it looks like $hi+ then I will leave it alone.
