Cleaning old plastic gas tank

i have an old plastic gas tank that has been sitting up for quite some time. What is the best way to clean it out?

Lots of ways to clean it depending on what/how much debris is in it. A gallon or so of clean gas and a couple of handfuls of pea gravel or old nuts/bolts, shake it around real good to knock all the junk off, drain it out, repeat or flush with strong detergent like Purple Power or similar. Just do it until it's clean. Good Luck!

I use 1/4" X 20 nuts. I ALSO COUNT how many I put in.

Same number out=OK. If not, I have a search on my hands.
