Ospho will turn the rust specks BLACK!

It is a metal prep and I would not use it as a cleaner.........

I get rust often by crossing under steel bridges. FSR is what I use. Fiberglass Stain Remover. Surely you can buy it here on iboats. I believe it is phosphoric acid, which I also have used.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the advice on Ospho. I'm in the middle east and cant get FSR locally and cant have it shipped via air as a DC. Oh what to do....

Since you may not have access to that...... try a good sink cleanser such as comet or whatever brand you can get and start scrubbing. I bet those spots will vanish ;)

Look for rust remover products that have hydrofluoric acid and/or oxalic acid on the ingredient list or MSDS. Those acids will make the rust stains disappear effortlessly (as in, no scrubbing) without damaging or discoloring the fiberglass.

Thanks Guys will give both this and the sink scrubber a go. Fingers crossed
