Re: cleaning stains

this is an often discussed topic, a search would yeild faster and more opinions about what you should use. i used toilet bowl cleaner, it worked well enough for my 10 year old stains

Re: cleaning stains

when i inherited my dads boat, which sat in the lake tied to a dock for summer after summer. it was pretty bad stain wise...

muriatic acid it the ticket. be very careful with it. it's real dangerous stuff.

i mixed it 1/4-1/3 acid w/ water. applied it with a spray mist bottle. get 2 or 4 bottles too as the acid will eat up the pump in short order and it won't pump anymore. used a long handle scrub brush and then rinse right away... then wash with boat soap and water behind that...

like i said, this stuff is dangerous... at the very least wear eye protection, a mask of some kind, rubber gloves. shoes, long sleeve shirt and pants, any thing ya can to protect yourself. and don't breath the fumes at all. you'll know if ya do i assure you...

if that don't cut the stains i don't know what will...

again. be careful if ya decide to use it. but i'll wager it'll get through the stains for you..

The best stuff to use is On-Off by Marykate. The next best is FSR blue gel.Toilet bowl cleaner works well too, thats what I use but it sounds like your stains are worse that mine.Very very important to rinse well with water and WAX/POLISH before it hits the water again.

Bleach won't do anything. Sno-Bol toilet bowl cleaner will take them off instantly and completely. It is a stong acid though so be careful.
