The dash top on my Capri has the bumpy non-slip surface. After working on the boat for two years, it was looking a little dingy, and although I washed it a few times, it looked dirty. I thought the high spots were just showing wear. Finally had a Magic Eraser out and tried that. Holy Cow! The eraser took all the dirt out of the bumpy surface and it looks like new!

I know Magic Erasers are good cleaners. They work better on some surfaces than others. The eraser does a great job on the non-slip.

I thought Magic Eraser wasn't supposed to be good for your gel, did other boat cleaners not work?

Magic eraser can dull high gloss gel coat, other than that, it does not damage it. The non-skid surface is "bumpy" like latex paint put on with a thick roller, so the gloss finish is not really an issue. Other cleaners did not work, even scrub brush w/soap and water.

Hey Mark -

Here's a product that really works well on that nonskid. Bit of a PITA to apply however. Once you get it all clean this will definately help it stay that way.
