i searched a bit and didn't come up with much, so i figure this would be the best place to ask, is pressure spraying your hull bad for it, and is it better to wax or polish. i just got rid of my beater boat and got one really worth cleaning up and taking care of in my eyes so what ever secrets to keeping them clean and shinny i would love to hear.

thanks very much guys this is an awsome site i have gotten a ton of great info already

Re: cleaning, waxing, polishing?

3 years ago I purchased my first boat... a 21 foot maxium. It was a very dull burgendy and cream color. I went to Overton's and purchased Vertglas? Gel Coat Restoration System for about 80 bucks. I after performing the wash and abrasive scrub steps, I put about 8 coats of the clear sealer on this boat and I still have over half of the product left over. I've used that boat for the past 3 summers and kept it under a cover and shelter. It has retained it's shine and still looks great after 2.5 years. That product is amazing and it can still be purchased online for 79.99 at www.overtons.com.

Be safe!

Plio7,

WOW! That boat is in a whole lot better shape than the 21' Maxium I described to you. With that, I am confident the Vertglas product will restore your boat to a remarkable like new appearance.

Good Luck with it!
