Ok guys give me some ideas on cleaning the embedded mildew off the white rubber gasket . And maybe something to help keep the mildew off once clean ...
I have tried several types of bathroom cleaners with foam/bleach .. It cleaned up some but still very visible ..
Thanks ! :)

Just tried the M/E .. It cleaned it a little more but not much .. It kinda fell apart . I think I may have to keep cleaning over a few days with the bleach cleaner . The mildew gets so deep into the pores I guess I'll just have to keep at it for a while .. :soap:

I use straight bleach and an old toothbrush...then just leave it on a while. Carburetor cleaner on a rag is also good....

Try some purple stuff. It is not great for mildew, but if you have dirt there, it will work well. Bathroom cleaners with bleach will kill mildew real well, so I suspect it is dead, leaving dirt.

The product you need is as close as your nearest auto store. It is called Bleach-White and is intended to clean white wall/white letter tires. It has been around for decades and works great and because it is not a marine product, will not cost a fortune.

There's a product called SoftScrub that works great. A lite abrasive, bleach based cleaner. It works great. Can be found at any place that sells kitchen cleaners.

I have used Bleach-white and Soft scrub on raised white letter tires with great results years ago before I started to put the blackwalls out ..
Thanks for reminding me about those ! :)
