When I close my window/door going to my bow area it doesn't line up to close. what caused the sides to close in an inch or so? any suggestions on opening it up? the boat is a '93 bayliner classic 16'. thanks

Re: clearance on my door/window on bowrider,

Bayliner, not enough detail...

However, my dad owned a SeaRay that rested in a sling - that definitely caused the winshield to not close...

Also, when the boat is not in use, the winshield should be closed. If its not too tight of a fit, have somone push the side windows out so you can fit the swinging window into its place. Eventually it will fit easier.

Re: clearance on my door/window on bowrider,

I have a 17' boat and when it's in the water my window opens fine. When it's on the trailer it is stuck shut but opens with some force. The boat bends just enough to tighten up the window. If your boat is on the trailer I bet the window will open up when you put it in the water.

If you want most windscreens are adjustable. just have to loosen a cpl of bolts under dash and adjust one side or the other out slightly till you have necessary clearance. the attachment bolts slide in the track on bottom of windscreen.

Re: clearance on my door/window on bowrider,

Believe it or not, the person I bought it from left it uncovered and the water in the bottom froze.,forcing the two sides together. After alot of hot water my door now shuts fine...thanks to all with the info, this really is an excellent forum!
