click-click from throttle housing, trim silences it

I get a loud click-click from the throttle housing at mid/high speed. If I touch the trim tab it momentarily goes away. Any thoughts?

So the throttle on the boat clicks but if you trim the motor a bit it stops?

Does the engine do anything while it is doing this clicking?
