Clicking after impeller replacement

Just put my unit back together, in neutral it spins freely both directions. In forward the prop locks ccw and clicks cw. In reverse it clicks ccw and locks cw. I have not replaced the drive oil yet because I'm worried I have to take it apart again. I feel like it used to click but am wondering if it's louder with out drive oil in it. The unit is an alpha one gen 2

The locking and clicking in the opposite directions is normal and is an indication that the shifting system is working normal on the Alpha drives...You're good to go.:encouragement:

Should quiet with oil but always ratchet one way or the other depending on if in fwd or rev.
