Thanks Parrott head:

Why didn't you do more to put bin Laden and Al Qaeda out of business when you were president?

There you go, word for word. One Question! BTW, it is not a transcript it is an editorial of the event.

if ya cant trust Rumsfeld who can ya trust.

Now that right there spoiled my day!

Going back and trying to recreate history is a pointless excercise, of course, but I can certainly understand the Republican objective of deflecting attention away from Iraq (and even Afghanistan) and distracting us into blaming Clinton yet again. It's worked in past elections, and maybe it will work yet again.

The only thing I want to know is the answer to the question Clinton asked:

If they thought that Clinton did not react properly to the threat, In the 9 months they were in power, what exactly did they do regarding avenging the Cole, or getting Bin Laden. You would think, of course, if they were that concerned, they would have sprung into action.

Other than demoting and marginalizing Richard Clarke, that is.

You're welcome Pointer94,

At the bottom of the editorial is a transcript of the relevent portion of the interview.

The gist of the editorial was aimed at Mr. Wallace.
If anyone want to watch the complete interview here is a link I found that has links to Youtube.com. It's in three segments.

The above was just the first place Google gave me that had feeds that worked.

Some of the websites for media accuracy I frequent are:

No matter how much he defends himself and no matter what he did right the following will always apply.

We'll see, LF.

As soon as we get a little farther removed from the partisan hyperbole, if I were Clinton, I'd like my chances with historians.

After reading this entire thread I typed a lengthy post. Then I recalled nugget of wisdom my grandfather bestowed upon me. Never wrestle with a pig. You'll both end up looking foolish, filthy, and smelling like sheet............................................................................................................ but the pig will enjoy it.;)

Can you beleive it, Clinton even lied in his response. Good God. The man can't help himself. He was right about one thing, read Richard Clarke's book. It outlines that there wasn't any stategy or plan in place when Clinton left office, and how Clinton couldn't get the job done.

Richard Clarke was never demoted, he just wasn't promoted. Sound like someones tax double talk? Anyone come up with a universal definition of "is" yet?

Lies Lies Lies. Heaven forbid we actually get an honest comment from this idio. /foo. /clow./ - former president.

You can fool some of the people all of the time.

Oh yea, nice montague OJ. Really captures the man. d:)

So did Pelosi "And even to capture him now, I don’t think it makes us any safer.”

"Clinton did keep us safe... he eliminated the Branch Dividians... 80 men, women and children killed in cold blood."

Wrong Wrong Wrong Wrong! No one told Koresh he needed to have ten billion guns and his compound rigged with explosives. What kind of "peacefull" religious sect do you call that? He had the simple choice to abide by the law of the land he chose to have his cult in, and instead he broke countless ATF laws.

The blood shed on that compound lies solely on his hands. If he didn't like the law, then he should have taken his cult out of this country, period. Like Jim Jones. At least he had the decency to take his cult down to Guyanna (sp?) and pass out the koolade and initiate the peaceful sleep. Koresh chose to have his people die under gunfire and flames. His fault and his fault only....

What are you gonna scream next? Ruby Ridge?

You would want to known as a liar and a cheat?... A president that used his power to silence anyone that got in his way, and was unsuccessful?... The president that sold out his country for a few campaign bucks.... That is the way History will remember "Slick Willie".... along with the cigar slide, his last interview...

And there inlies your total lack of political and social perceptiveness. No matter how hard Clinton tries(and PW wishes), he will not re-write history. The die is cast and much to my glee, it will take Hillary down with it.

What a joke! Clinton's term is history and I could not care less at the moment. Rather than Rice or anybody else discuss which admin tried harder, how about we try as hard as we can NOW, get him and then this admin can bask in all their glory. Not until after he is dead though.
