K350 was produced approximately 76 - 80.
3.5 hp at 6,800 rpm.Fuel mix is 16:1. 2 cycle Chain saw oil.Champion CJ8 plug set at .025.Magneto point gap if so equiped .020.Aircooled Power head with water cooled exhaust leg.Clinton has been out of business for some time.

cool thanks man.. will it hurt the lowerunit pump to run it out of water..... if it is how do i go about getting a pump for it?(ooops?)
guy i got it from told me it didnt have a pump

Yep, it has a impeller that will turn when you put the clutch in for forward progress. Cools the lower part on the cylinder, and leg. It will not turn when the spring clutch is in neutral, so you can run it that way dry. But running in a bucket/garbage can wet is highly recommended. You will feel/see water on your hand if you put it in gear, and stick your hand by the exhaust relief hole/holes in the middle leg. If not, impeller is toast

humm.... this has no forward or reverse gear it is a soild unit the was you put it in reverse is by turning the motor all the way around.. where would i get a new impeller?.....

Well, to tell ya the truth, I don't really know just what motor you have. Thought it was a Clinton, and had a clutch drive. Guess not. Anyway, go here..

natedawg I also have an outboard Clinton K350- and I know it's a 3.5hp motor. This thing runs, and I bought it cheap enough, but I want to learn all I can before I fire this thing up on the lake.
I'm pretty certain it's air cooled, but one of it's previous owners PAINTED the housing on this thing so I'm slowly using denatured alcohol to try to remove the paint so I can find out the oil mix on this thing as well as what knob or dial does what. Did you ever get good information on your motor? I'd love to get my hands on a repair manual.
My motor model # is K350-4000A with serial #70476. It has no nuetral gear or reverse. I'd like to pin down what year mine is and what name is was sold under (SeaKing/M Wards or what)? Fill me in if you got or found anything that was of help to you please, or if anyone has a manual that lists this motor, please help me out.
