Clinton K500 repair question

Hi all. I have a 1970's Clinton K500 that ran well when I was adjusting the carburetor with the engine running in a trash can. However when I get the engine on the lake it bogs down with the throttle all the way open. When this happens fuel starts to come out of the idle adjustment screw. Any ideas on what may be causing the problem? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Re: Clinton K500 repair question

Hello and Welcome Big Jake,
Sounds like your float needle valve is not sealing or the float setting is off, there may be other problems but I doubt we could put a finger on it until you lock that one down.

maybe you could glean some insight from this, and anybody else that needs it....come and get while its hot boys.
