I have a 4 hp Clinton
Mod K400 1106A
Ser 429596
Typ 60 27205 R

I believe this is a 1972. I have been able to get all the info I need except for one. Lower unit oil change. I can not find the upper and lower vent screws like my Merc has. Do I have to take somthing apart to find them or do this? There are 2 nuts mid unit and 4 screws on the skeg, but that's all I find.

Welcome to iboats. :)

It's filled with a light grease. It's kinda permanent, but you can pop that skeg cap off and dig it out there and refill with fresh. I believe it's 104 gearlube and is hard but not impossible to find. discount-marine-parts dot com will have a good deal of information you'll find interesting. Explore. They even have some parts for those.

I did look at Discount-Marine, and you are right, they have most of what one would need. Any other lubricating you would suggest, in order to put ones mind at ease that they are not ripping it apart?

The threads on the clamp screws is the only thing that comes to mind. If there's a zerk where the motor swivels, hit that. Have fun with it. :)

EDIT: Misread your post, sorry about that! :)
Lubriplate 105 stuff is a NLGI 0 thickness water repellant grease, so any grease advertising that would work. But they're pretty rare. NLGI 2 is the thickness or normal grease, 1 thinner, 0 thinner than that. You get the idea.

That's about it. A mower with a prop. But, never mind. Once you get it running, it'll push your boat all right.
