I am looking for an operator or service manual for my Montgomery Ward 2 hp outboard. It is a Clinton model K200 1106A, serial 400363, type 60 27202R. It is in good condition, is bright green, and appears to be air cooled. The label on the fuel tank says add 1/2 pint SAE30 oil to each gallon of gas? Does the lower unit get oil? It ran when I got it 5 years ago, but not well. Id like to use it on my 1964 Lone Star v-hull.

I bookmarked this back in 2011, so let us know if it still works--or not. Clinton Engines Corporation
22563 35th Street
Maquoketa, IA 52060-8640
(563) 652-2411

They are a "cash" only place, they don't accept credit cards. If they are not there leave a message, and they do get back to you. tell them what you need, they take your order, then call you back with the price for parts and shipping.

The powerhead is air cooled. The midsection (exhaust) is water cooled. Most Clintons have a water pump for that function, but if you have the motor that I think you have there is a curved pipe sticking out of the underwater exhaust outlet. The propeller rams water into that pipe to cool the exhaust--no pump needed! Yes, 16:1 fuel mix, or 1/2 pint per gallon. I say use chainsaw oil because they run very hot. But do whatever you want. Sure it gets lower unit lube. But I don't remember the details.

K-200 was built in 1972-1973. Probably no difference between the years. Or very minor is there is any difference.

Clinton called, and I ordered a manual and carb rebuild kit. I have a '64 Lone Star 14' v-hull that I'd love to use it on! Got to build an engine stand
