Hi All,
My 92 Four Winns with a OMC 5.8L/cobra uses a closed cooling system with a heat exchanger but no expansion tank. I replace the water circulating pump a couple days ago but need to refil the antifreeze. Does anyone know what the level to refil and the proper procedure for refilling? The heat exchanger shape is a big tube with a hump on the top with a filler cap.
Many thanks in advance.

They didn't come with an expansion tank. You can put an overflow tank in if you want.
Just mix it 50-50 and fill it till it comes to the top. Then start it and fill it as it settles.
Then let it warm up and get ready to catch the overflow. It will get to it's own level.
Just for gp keep a gallon spare in the boat.Don't use lake water.J

hump on the top with a filler cap.
that is likely the expansion tank.
mine has a large lower tube and a large upper tube runs width of heat exchanger with cap. The large upper tube is the expansion area.
