Not in California. Back in '91 the legislature passed a sweeping resolution banning anything that required jigowatts to operate. Apparently parts were becoming scarce due to the limited number of DeLoreans available in the secondary market. It was quite the scandal.

Products are banned in California???:faint2:

You
Some have tried using an old Force outboard and Seafoam to generate the smoke, and an air compressor to inject the smoke thru the transistor ports.

Actually the Seafoam is not necessary when using a Force but it has to be 85hp or above. If it is 7 years old, i'm going to say that is one of the earlier front load models for home use. I seem to recall the motors were notorious for wearing out. Do you smell that electric motor smell when a motor is being overtaxed? Our 4 year old LG is starting to have that electrical odor after heavy loads but I will unabashidly load it up to capacity as it is supposed to be able to handle. I'm realizing we seem to be on a 5 year cycle with our appliances before they break and the repair parts are to close to replacement cost. In 4 years we've replace our 1000$ microwave and our $1200 dollar dishwasher (the DW was just this past weekend and I repaired it several times in 4 years). The Fridge is 4 years old was $2500 and I had to replace individual circuits on the computer board myself this past summer to avoid an expensive pc board replacement. It cost me about 15$ and two hours of time having never soldered before.
I'm thinking 7 years is hitting its life span as crazy as that sounds. Stuff, no matter the cost or initial quality seems to just be built to be replaced.
