Assuming it has a prop on it now, you begin by running with the present prop to insure that the motor turns within it's recommended WOT rpm range.

Each inch of pitch will change the rpm by 150-200 rpm. Increasing pitch drops rpm, while decreasing pitch raises rpm. It's that simple.

If you have no prop to get any info, then I would start with a 17 pitch, and get info in the "read this first".
