Re: Clutch adjustment

Tell your friend Jesus was resurected and that would be the only way that boat will do 85. He walked on water so who am I to doubt he could make that boat go 85. There is no clutch as in a car. Everyone was trying to be helpful and the more you talk the more apparent it is that you are new to this. I am not picking on you as we were all there once. If you were to take the cotton out of your ears and put it into your mouth you would be a lot better off and would not be insulting to those trying to explain things to you. The funny part is these people could have explained to you how to adjust the linkage yourself and saved you the 2 hrs labor. Oh well at least you had it your way.

Sorry this is not A stock 140 hp engine. I was going by the decal stikers that was on the side of the boat.( this is what the boat had in it stock) This motor has been very highly modified. I dont think any one here on this forum would have been able to answer my question. My badd!!

Well, if it's not stock 140HP, you mean it's a highly modified 140HP (metrically balanced for instance), well than that's different. Anything's possible with a highly modified 140HP.. I could see 85 if it's a lightweight hull....Is it a lightweight hull?
Does the boat have nofer trunnions?
Have the gudgeon springs been lifted? probably, if it does 85.
No wonder the clutch needed adjustment. It will be hard on clutches with that kind of power. Don't bring it to Canada, the Coast Gaurd would be all over you with that kind of racing boat.

Dude, you got my curiosity piqued. It would be great if you could borrow a camera and post some pics of your setup. I like looking at exotics and how there put together.
I could never get nofer trunnions to work for me. Are yours set up and working good?
