CMC outboard bracket ?'s

My '79 Starcraft came with a 80hp Merc and a CMC 130 tilt/trim bracket(lucky me:)) and I have a few questions since I've never dealt with brackets like this before.

I saw in the manual that they were made both with and without the tilt/trim gauge and sending wire. Can I easily add this to mine that is lacking the gauge and wire?

Also what sort of maintenance do these units require? I'm guessing that I need to replace the fluid periodically. What do I do to check for possible issues?

It has worked just fine for me, just want to make sure it stays that way:D

There are pictures of the bracket in my resto thread link below if needed.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

Ya know, I spent the extra money for the gauge and I ended up pulling it because I never ever used it, after a while you just run by feel.

I really don't think you could "easily"add it and I am sure it would be pretty spendy.

To add a trim gauge to the CMC PT-130's you will need the upgrade kit.

Consists of:

- Dash Mount Gauge
- Wiring Harness
- Sending Unit/Sensor (mounts to the PT-130)

PM Me if your still interested in the upgrade kit
