CMC trim wired into Merc control

Hello,

I recently purchased a CMC PT-35 power tilt/trim unit and I was wondering if it could be wired into my Merc control? The control has the switch in the handle. I am assuming that I can attach the switch wires from the unit to the ones coming out of the harness. But we all know what assuming does. So I thought I would ask the experts here and find out a little info before I started. Thanks.

I started a thread today asking basically the same thing. I've got the P130 CMC bracket but it should be the same for both sizes. My '71 Merc hangs off it and I'd love to get her wired for trim/tilt and tach eventually.

I will let you know if I get any responses in my thread. CMC does have the manual online in PDF so I am going to read that again and possibly call CMC for support to get an answer.

This is a link to the CMC site where you can download the manual. My Mercontrol does not have the trim/tilt nob, the boat came with a switch on the dash.

I will probably keep that switch and mount it in a better spot if I don't get a throttle control with the trim on it.

How big is your OB?

Its an 88 35 Hp I have it on a modified 14' Tracker Grizzly.
