I then went to CNN and found this snippit. You are correct, it was an interpreter whose voice was heard not a participant. It eases my anger considerably knowing this.

Rodbolt, why does many of your " I could have done it better" posts end with your touting of your continued prosparity? If things are going so well for you why do you bother to come and slum with us at dockchat? Your rags to riches mantra would sound more plausable if you werent negative 99% of the time with your posts. Why dont school Chavez with your anti bush/America. You and Sheehan could be quite the duo.

I still wonder why CNN still won't air the video from the towers but feels showing a US soldier being shot/killed is newsworthy? When is video supplied by the enemy suitable for the evening news programs? As they can't confirm the identity of the soldier, how can they authenticate the content?

Perhaps they don't consider them the enemy?

Whatever.. seeing as how you got a completely dishonest version of this event from some radio guru whose name apparently can't be mentioned, and then reposted it here as fact really decreases the shock value that this thread was meant to have.

It does seem like bad taste to me but only because of the issue of family members who lost a loved one to sniper fire accidently coming across that footage on the tube. But then again, I haven't had TV in my home since 1989, so I think that if CNN offends you, that's what the "off" switch is for.

I was listening to Limbaugh today at lunch. He really ripped CNN for showing it. It was emotional and well spoken. Hard to dissagree with what he said. Hell, he almost made ME hate CNN (and I don't even watch it).

I still stand by this, if Fox showed the video it would have been different. He (Rush) could have went on about how the Liberal left-wing driveby media won't show you what's really going on. He could make just as compelling as the tirade on his show today.
