When coating the stringer and deck boards with resin, prior to installing them in the boat, do you add in the hardner to the poly, or just apply poly straight from the bucket to the wood?

Thanks

You MUST add hardener! Otherwise it is just goo, and will stay that way! Same when you are laying up glass! Mix it in small batches while you get a feel for how long it takes to kick.

Good luck with your resto!

Thanks for the response. I should be getting into the sealing the wood tonight or tomorrow. Then dropping everything in the boat next weekend if lucky!
I have a quazi resto thread going, called 1979 Sea Ray SRV 190 Deck/Foam, but I am bad at taking pictures while i'm working, cause my hands are so dirty. And when I'm done with the work for the night, I just dont' have the energy to upload all the pics and post them.

Anyway, thanks for your help
