Hi,
Im a newbie on this forum and would like to ask some questions. Looking at a Cobalt and I think the seller does not know much about boat. The ad says "1986 19ft cobalt b/r "but after studying the pics and cobalt website it appears he has a condurre and according to website was not manufactured until 1989, is that correct?
What exactly was the purpose of the condurre? it looks good but the trim level looks low, was the quality sacrificed also?was this a "cheaper, entry level cobalt"?
any additiional info to look for with the condurre?
It has a 175 hp merc v-6 engine, what would be considered a low to reasonable amount of hours?
Can anyone tell me how to decipher the HIN for the model year?
Thanks,

Re: Cobalt buyer ???

According to NADA, the first 19 Condurre was 1988.

I have an 87 dealer brochure, and by then they had gotten it down to 23 ft. At that time, they were considered a high performance boat, along the lines of Formula or Baja, and were all sport cuddies.

Since they make it down to 17ft., It looks the Condurre name was lent to the higher end bowriders. They were wider and more Euro styled. Curved glass, etc.
