I am ready to paint the interior of my project (Glasspar seafair sedan) and I am looking for more suggestions on what type of paint to use on the cockpit floor... I would like a very light gray texture paint.... and should I use a bedliner paint, or is there a good deck/garage floor paint that would work?.... it was suggested to me that the Behr DeckOver paint would be an excellent choice.

I am NOT going to have carpet in the boat, although a marine vinyl may be an option.

the surface is glassed over and waterproof, but has been painted once before, which I will go over power tools to remove any loose paint there may be....

If its been painted previously, that sort of leaves you 1 option, currently... paint w similar paint just add grit.

Bedliner, DeckOver or epoxy coatings would require removal of 100% of the previous paint, or risk adhesion problems or failure

Surface preparation is key! I would choose a good catalyzed urethane or better yet a two part epoxy.
