I have a 77 Mercury 150 hp in-line six that needs a ignition coil. I looked for a listing on iboats parts finder and was unable to find a listing for it. From what it looks like to me a 18-5186 works on many of the motors similar to the 150. Most of the in-lines that year like the 115 use that coil. Could any of you guys tell me if that is the correct coil.

That is correct, it only has a single coil. The reason I need one is that it developed an arc in the coil housing.
