This isn't actually a problem, but rather a solution. I found one post on another iBoat forum from a couple years ago that pointed me in the right direction. Thought I would post the problem and solution for the next person who runs into a similair problem.
Last week I put my boat into the water and all is well for the first 7-8 minutes as I open her up and cruise the local lake. Next thing I know RPM's start dropping on their own. After another minute the engine starts to stall so I back off the throttle. At idle everything was fine, so I gave it some gas, and it's starts to stall again. Long story short, everything was fine until the engine warmed up, then I could only idle.
Initially I thought it might be a fuel pump issue, but I came back home very bummed out and searched Google. I found the old iboat forum post and someone suggested checking the coil, that it might be breaking down. It made sense to me as I had an odd coil problem in an old car that was somewhat similair. So I ordered my part from iboats and installed it yesterday. Took the boat out today and ran all afternoon with no problems.
Again, just posting this for the next person who might be trying to figure out a similair problem.
Happy Boating,
Mike
