You might also go over the carb needle adjustment in the FAQ section:

My old Chrysler used to be hard to start when it gets cold. For example fishing in late October. First thing in the morning it would be a bear to start then work fine all day. Then I'd sit and fish one area until almost dark (and getting chilly) and it would be hared to start again. Air temperature and rich/lean have a pretty consistent relationship. Anyway, proper idle mixture adjustment and new fuel hoses fixed all of my hard to start problems cold or not.

Thanks ,I will try to pump the bulb longer next time!
It is not the bulp pumping that is being referred to, it is the priming (done by pushing in the key).

Again, the procedure that appears to be recommended for your engine - and which worked very well for my hard starting engine - is to

(1) pump the bulb until firm
(2) turn the key to on position (do not start)... push the key in for a full 8 seconds before starting.
(3) Then turn the key to start.

Give this a try, you might find it really helps your cold starting issue and you won't need to mess with the other stuff. Good luck.

88 don't have quick start, and have fixed jets so no carb adjustment. you're running the correct plug QL77JC4 or L77JC4 the 'Q' is if using a lot of electronics, cuts down on interference.

Also make sure you're using fresh 87 octane. A can of Sea Foam can't hurt. If the motor isn't capable of over 5600 the rings may be starting to coke up and the Sea Foam should help.
