The cold start button feels a little suspect when depressing it.Is there a switch or unit that can be replaced within the cold start unit.It gave out all of a sudden and the next thing I know is, I have no gears. The engine is a 2001 150 h.p. johnson ocean pro, just bought it and working out the kinks.Thankyou Andy

Inorder to accelerate the cold start in nuetral you depress a button on top of the control box. This allows you to start the engine and be able to accelerate to keep the engine running until she warms up.When the cold start mechanism is engaged,The shift cable should be disengaged as per the cold start concept. The cables apear to be fine and connected,Im just wondering if there is a cold start mechanism or spring that can be replaced that allows the shift cable to be re-engaged when the throttle is placed back into nuetral to allow the shift cable to rengage.
