The thermostat read 117 in the ole Suburban today. I think its a cold front blowing through. Boating season will last another couple of months. (we won't be here, we're going to Virginia next week).

Yup, cold miserable summer this year, with terrible fishing all around. I've heard of a few reports of the odd person getting some decent fishing in, but mostly a summer of "I haven't caught anything worth talking about all summer" from everyone.

Now that we are in the mid 40's the salmon derby starts next weekend. Gonna be a cold fall for fishing...just hope my luck picks up. Heck I remember when I was in school sweating to death right up to October, then some cool comfort weather for a month or two then winter....seems we missed a step somewhere.
