Why would the line coming from the tank to the fuel pump be collapsed on a merc 470?Had the carb rebuilt last week and my brother ran it up to camp and ran great for about 2 hours and now all it will do is idle .As soon as you give her gas she goes about 100 feet and dies.Pump shows 5 psi according to mechanic .Plugged pick up?

have never seen the double wall fuel line collapse.More like a clogged anti-syphon

Thankyou very much, sounds right.I also checked other sources and the anti-siphon seems to give the exact symptoms so will check asap.
