You do know that this is all in fun ... just kidding. (As in the last 3 games we have been on the losing end.)

And 8 of the last 10, just to rub it in. Iowa fans are feeling pretty confident going into this one, although that often leads to a knot on the head. I know in the 90s PSU laid some pretty fierce beatings on us. Generally a pretty friendly rivalry.

The Buckeyes gave themselves blackeyes this year. I can't defend them for screwing up. 3 more being suspended for the game with Nebraska. Serves them right.

I'd love to keep smack talking about this game, but I am not sure we can win, and I would hate to eat all that crow, so I will just leave it alone till after Saturday!

I root for the Gators and any team playing UGa! After all, they put the UGa in Ugaly!!!

FWIW, Bama should win the SEC Invitational, which is known by some as the BCS Title game. LSU looks good and they are ranked higher in the poles, but my money is on the Tide. The REAL National Title game is scheduled for Nov 5 in Tuscaloosa, when these two meet. We meet LSU this weekend, and I am not too hopeful. We have a young team that is one or two years out from being great. We will probably meet either Bama or LSU again in the SEC Championship game. I don't see any other eastern division SEC school as being ready for us. As long as they all lose to SEC opponents at least twice, we're in.

Maybe for SEC homers. Bottom line is that the SEC East is too weak for it to be even considered such.

When the East is weak, the West picks up the slack and vice versa! The last five BCS Champions have been from the SEC. Yeah, it's the SEC Invitational alright. I know its upsetting, but no other conference comes close.

Not sure why you call it the SEC Invitational. Its winner of east vs winner of the west or am I missing something? If the winner of that game happens to be one of the top two teams in the country, they deserve to be in the BCS title game. If they aren't...they don't.

Denial: Not just another river in Egypt. That's OK, I can tell that you're from UCLA. Those of us from the SEC refer to the National BCS Championship game as the SEC Invitational. After all, out of 12 BCS Championship Games, an SEC team has won 7 times including the last 5. The next best conference is the Big 12 with only two wins.

I'm inclined to do the same. We looked bad losing to Iowa St then the following week were down 24-3 to Pitt with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Then Ferentz uncharacteristically went to a no huddle shotgun offense and we ran off 4 touchdowns to win. Ran a lot of no huddle against ULM 2 weeks ago for the win. Unfortunately, JoePa has had 2 weeks to look at tape so we'll see what happens..
