Refurbishing a 1970 fiberglass deep-V boat. Have laid out and fabricated a new dash panel from 1/8" aluminum. Added a tach, water pressure, water temp, and volt meter gauges, PTT controls, and kill switch. All gauges are black faced with white lettering. The PTT control is the old 3 button black housing type.

Decided to keep the original speedo and compass because of the amazing condition of the chrome and because it retains a bit of the original character. And its shiny!!!

Now I want to powdercoat the alum dash panel but have no idea what color to choose. The panel mounts directly to the original whiteish fiberglass dash. The dash panel is 10" x 30" in size and all one piece.

Will be installing a light blue/grey carpet and am replacing all the interior vinyl with a med dark blue. Next year will be replacing the seats with blue/grey/white color scheme.

What would be a good color for the dash panel? I welcome all suggestions.

It would help if you could post a picture of your old dash.
Do your new gauges have chrome bezels? If so, then I vote white on the dash panel. If the gauge bezels are black, then silver would look sharp IMO.

Get some carbon fiber lookalike vinyl. CF always looks good
