The special 'highway shooter' task force has released the name and description of a man wanted in connection with the random shootings around the Columbus area. BTW, there's presently a $60K reward being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of this lunatic.

Two agents from ATF were at my gunshop March 5th looking through 4473's for new purchases by him.

Bomar, Yes, it was reported that he bought a 9mm from Vance's Shooters Supplies in Columbus. Nothing illegal with the transaction, as he has no previous criminal history.<br /><br />Joe, I too heard they captured him in a motel on the Las Vegas strip.

They didn't say why they were interested in purchases by him, but it wasn't hard to connect the dots and draw a conclusion.<br />The ATF were canvassing EVERY FFL holder in central OH looking for purchases by him. I had never seen these agents before- I think they had really made an all out effort in this case and brought in a lot of agents from other areas.<br /><br />Anyway, glad they caught him.
