comes out of gear

I have a merc, alpha gen II drive that comes out of gear, i have to slow down and it goes back into gear. is there some kind of adjustment for this?

Is it coming out of gear or is the prop slipping from a bad hub?.....
Make a mark on the prop nut & the propeller....
Run the engine until the symptom occurs....
Look at the marks....
If they do not line up you have a spun/bad hub....
If you have a spare prop throw it on & see if it goes away....
You should have a spare prop anyway....​
