Commander 300 Dual Controls - Stbd Throttle Stiff

I've got a very stiff stbd throttle on a Commander 3000 dual unit...

I can feel a "grind" in both directions.

Just off the cuff, would you all with experience with the 3000 dual controls think the problem is the throttle cable or the 3000 unit itself?
