Commander 3000 Remote Control stuck in neutral

My remote (commander 3000 classic panel mount) is stuck in neutral and the button will not pop back out to allow shifting. The problem is definately at the control because the button is stuck in the "in" position. Any help?

I have the same control and same problem, what is the fix???
