Re: Common sense and Justice prevail again!

Here's my point....I have worked very hard to carve out a nice living...And when I say I worked HARD...I mean it. When it comes time to send my child to college...there won't be any government grants..Ect. I'm firmly in the middle class.

Although,.... I have made some achievements....I have put several others through college...I have no idea who they are......And I've probably put several more through college in the past 20 years...

Perhaps the message I should send to my child is that if you don't work hard to achieve your goals or dreams, it's ok...the liberals will pick you up and take care of you and provide for you, because you can't do it for yourself...

When my child or me gets sick...I pay the bills....not Uncle Sam...

I have to laugh sometimes when I see liberal Hollywood actors, saying we need to do more for the poor or under privileged. It's thier way of saying "I feel guilty for being rich, but I don't want to spend MY money on them"..Let's get the tax payers to take care of them....

Granted, there are some out there that by no choice of thier own need help...let's help them. But when I see that folks in New Orleans were using thier "rent assistance debit cards" to purchase vacations in the Bahamas, or for "Girls Gone Wild" videos....

Kevin,

You've discovered that life is not always fair, and the world is not a perfect place!

Congratulations!

PW is getting the picture,

Federal Courts have struck down Marylands law that big companies (Walmart) have to spend a certain amount of it's payroll on medical benefits.

Not trying to jam yea PW but this one just grabbed me as somewhat ironic.o:)

As others would say, isn't this getting a little off the mark with regards to the initial thread?

Evidently, Wine Seller doesn't have a problem with the use of rent vouchers to buy Girls Gone Wild Videos. :p := := := :=

Re: Common sense and Justice prevail again!

I think that was a joke guys! There are so many ironies involved in this whole coversation. PW if Canada's care is something we should strive for then where will we go when we can't wait a year or two for an operation? I live about 60 miles from Canada and on any given day there are people who can afford it coming to Buffalo or Rochester for medical treatment because their system sucks. One of the biggest ironies is health care is so expensive, not because of the greed of the doctors, but the cost of malpractice insurance. Because most politicians are lawyers and the lawyer lobby is so strong there is no cap on medical malpractice suits. This makes the cost of insurance so high that many Doctors have gone into research or something else. Does anyone else see the irony in the government trying to force a private company to provide health care for their employees because the employees can't afford it because the government through lack of action has created the unaffordable condition? :^
