I have a 15' bowrider (a 1979 Sea Raider). I'm going to be out on the water with my grandkids, ages 1 and 3.

I'm looking for a compact folding ladder in case we need to get one of these kids back into the boat (as in the 3 year old decides to jump out and then we need to bring him in.)

I have a boat hook to snag them, and have a fair amount of experience, but for the life of me I can't find a ladder that folds small enough to fit in to a 15' boat.

A rope ladder is the worst choice, but I'll go that route if I have to.....

I would think you could just grab a 3 year old's arm and lift them in.
If not...try one of these.

I have one on my 14' boat, 16' boat, and 18' boat.

Those kids are rather young to take out in a boat, especially the 1 y/o. The 1 year old ain’t going to have a clue what’s going on. Same for the 3 y/o.
I would only take them out if both parents were present to be in control of them. Everyone needs to have life jackets on before they set foot on the dock. This is just my 2 cents worth but I personally think it’s a bad idea. If I was going to do that I’d want a larger boat . Again just my 2 cents worth.
Google search and Amazon you’ll finds boat ladders.
